When aging equipment starts struggling to keep up, it's not just about comfort - it's about reliability. This home needed a full system overhaul: a new furnace, a new Comfortmaker condenser outside, and a direct vent humidifier added to the system. That's a lot of work, but it's the kind of job we genuinely enjoy because the result is a home that's dialed in for every season.
The furnace installation itself was clean and precise. The flue venting, PVC condensate lines, and electrical connections all had to come together just right in a tight mechanical space alongside the water heater. No shortcuts. Everything routed and secured the way it should be.
After the furnace was set, we ran a full combustion analysis with our Fieldpiece analyzer to verify the burners were firing correctly and the system was running safely and efficiently. You don't just install a furnace and call it done - you check your work. That step matters a lot, and it's something not every installer takes the time to do.
Outside, the new Comfortmaker condenser went in on a gravel pad, properly wired and connected. It's a solid match for the indoor equipment - same brand, designed to work together. Pairing matched systems makes a real difference in how efficiently everything runs long-term.
The direct vent humidifier rounds it all out. Dry indoor air is a real problem in winter, and a whole-home humidifier added directly to the duct system keeps moisture levels consistent throughout the house. Better air quality, less static, and it helps your home feel warmer at lower thermostat settings. It's a smart add-on to any furnace installation.
